Case Study
Case StudiesIn The News

Background

Kent County embarked on a visionary project to establish a sustainable business park. With their existing landfills reaching capacity and nearing the end of their lifespan, Kent County aimed to create a business park that fosters a circular economy, where businesses utilize sustainable byproducts and recycled materials to produce goods. The goal was to minimize waste burial and promote recycling within the county.

The proposed sustainable business park would serve as a hub for businesses specializing in repurposing and recycling materials such as plastic bottles and thin plastics. Kent County recognized the importance of attracting businesses that could utilize these materials to manufacture various products.

Challenge

To initiate this ambitious project, Kent County required financial support.  Our team worked to secure the necessary funding for infrastructure development, road construction, utility installations, and engineering work required to set up the sustainable business park.

Solution

We worked closely with state legislators and officials to highlight the environmental and economic benefits of the project, ultimately securing a $4 million appropriation from the state budget- funding that was crucial for kickstarting the infrastructure development required for the business park.
